Job summary

Varsteel Ltd. is seeking a local truck driver to operate on-site from Prince George, BC. You will load and unload goods, manage payments at delivery, inspect vehicle safety, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliable service.

The role requires a valid Class 1 or A license, Air Brake endorsement, and 2–3 years of trucking experience. This is a physically demanding, on-site position with standard safety protocols and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
• 2 years to less than 3 years of driving experience.
• On-site work location; no remote option.
• Physically demanding with ability to lift heavy loads (up to 100 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain trip logs and documentation (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
