Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Switch Driver for the AM shift in Prince George, BC. The role offers steady day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Class 1 Switch Driver for A.M. shifts at our Prince George, BC location. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, working 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Job Summary:

The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following:

• Operate Class 1 vehicles for pickups and drop offs at our mining client sites

Qualifications:

In order to be qualified, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Valid Class 1 license
• Minimum 1 year of local driving experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
• Previous warehouse experience a plus
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Proficient in English (both reading and writing)
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
