Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Loader Operator to support yard operations in Fredericton, NB. Under Site Manager supervision, you will load/unload trailers, weigh metals entering and leaving the yard, and perform quality checks while maintaining equipment.

Overtime and safety gear are provided as needed. You will also help with inventory and basic maintenance, ensuring accurate storage and timely handling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similiar role.
• Class 5 license considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive metals and deposit to the designated location
• Unload trailer(s) and perform quality control inspection(s)
• Transport containers of non-ferrous material
• Load ferrous products for customers
• Perform hardware identification tests using appropriate magnets or products
• Perform inventory of stock according to established schedule
• General maintenance of equipment
• Any other related tasks requested by the manager

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Loader Operator picks up and delivers the trailer for the different departments in the yard as well as any other handling of equipment requiring the use of their machine. They also will weigh various metals as they enter or leave the yard.
