Job summary

Realstar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to live and work at one of our properties in Canada. You will live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend, and be on-call some evenings.

This vacancy includes a provided apartment suite as part of compensation, with benefits and annual bonuses based on performance. You will perform minor repairs, assist with maintenance tasks, and ensure a clean, safe living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property management or related trades.
• Excellent communication with residents and trades.
• Professional and presentable appearance at all times.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and mechanical tasks.
• Demonstrated cleaning skills.
• Ability to drive small vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to lift and push 50–100 lbs and assist with snow removal when needed.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to live and work at one of our properties. This position would require you to live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend and on-call some evenings. This offer is for an existing vacant position within the organization.

Skills And Experience Required

• Background in residential property management or related business experience (skilled-trade, handyperson)
• Excellent communication skills to deal with residents, prospects, colleagues and trades
• Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to perform minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems
• Demonstrated cleaning skills
• Ability to drive small vehicles, tractors, etc.
• One individual must be able to lift and push heavy objects 50-100lbs, including garbage bins, furniture and appliances or perform snow removal duties, sometimes for extended periods of time
