Job summary

Kingsley Management Inc. is seeking a reliable Live-In Building Maintenance Technician to support a residential community in the Waterloo region. This full-time role emphasizes staying active, solving problems, and delivering a positive resident experience.

You will maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, handle day-to-day building operations, and support residents with timely, solution-oriented service. Strong communication and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance or property operations is an asset.
• Strong hands-on maintenance skills with the ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors for maintenance activities is an asset.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, deficiencies, and required repairs.
• Conduct general maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and shared spaces.
• Prepare suites for new residents, including inspections, minor repairs, turnover cleaning, and move-in readiness; assist with move-in/out activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance projects and warranty items.
• Provide support for resident access and security needs, including key replacements, lock changes, and lockouts.
• Maintain building logs, maintenance records, and inventory of supplies.
• Support seasonal maintenance, including salting walkways and minor snow removal.
• Assist with garbage and recycling operations.
