Job summary

Hazelview Properties is seeking a Maintenance Associate to manage general, preventative, and repair maintenance for a multi-building complex in Canada. You will respond to emergencies, perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks, and maintain safety and cleanliness on site.

The role lives on property, supports tenant service, and participates in a comprehensive rewards package including a live-in unit option, bonuses, health benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5th Class Power Engineering is an asset.
• 4+ years in maintenance or related field.
• Willing to on-call after hours, evenings and weekends.
• Proficient with basic handheld and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting.
• Trade certification/license would be an asset.
• Familiar with community rules and regulations.
• Exposure to multi-residential environments would be an asset.
• WHMIS certification and HVAC knowledge would be assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior resident service and support.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Handle in-suite turnover including appliance repairs and basic carpentry.
• Inspect grounds and equipment for maintenance needs.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on call.
