Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a senior specialist to lead and coordinate activities of an internal project team in the analysis, design, implementation, evaluation and support of clinical applications, with daily LIS management and troubleshooting responsibilities.
The role involves liaising with Lab staff, management and IT/IS to improve processes and patient care, training staff, and contributing to system architecture while supporting OLIS and CoPath initiatives.

Working independently, they are involved in training, development, design, implementation and support of the Lab information systems. This person will liaise with Lab staff, management and IT/IS personnel to improve processes and increase standards of patient care in the overall system architecture. Activities support improvements in patient focused care and professional practice through the use of practical knowledge and information systems.

Initial project responsibility – Implementation of CoPath Pathology Lab Information System and OLIS support with intention to develop as a strong candidate for ongoing fulltime LIS support operations.
