Job summary

Porter Airlines Inc. is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer lead to support line maintenance in Ottawa, focusing on returning aircraft to service during AOG events and hands-on maintenance.

The role supervises maintenance teams, ensures compliance with CARs and Porter policies, tracks records, and coordinates inspections for safety and reliability across Porter’s fleet.

Qualifications

• Possess a Transport Canada AME license (M2, E or S).
• Endorsed, via an approved course, on the aircraft type under their supervision.
• Have at least 5 years maintenance experience with an Air Carrier or AMO.
• Must be knowledgeable of the provisions set out in the Canadian Aviation Regulations for the proper performance of their duties.
• Must be knowledgeable on Porter Airlines’ computer based maintenance software, RAAS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workforce levels and adjust for workload as required.
• Coordinate and supervise inspection and rectification of defects and maintenance on aircraft.
• Ensure maintenance records are completed according to company policy.
• Provide health and safety inspections for all work areas and vehicles.
• Act as Lead, ACA as needed and support Porter’s SMS program.
