Job summary

Porter Airlines Inc. is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support the Line Maintenance team at YHZ. You will assist in organizing structural repairs, coordinating with Planning and engineering teams, and ensuring repairs align with service bulletins and technical documentation.

You will apply a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and effective communication, while collaborating with third-party repair providers and internal SMS processes. Travel on short notice may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved facility with accreditation.
• Must possess Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, CAT S.
• Thorough knowledge of SRM.
• High degree of accuracy and strong analytical skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessing and organizing structural repairs.
• Track and coordinate with Planning on organizing structural repairs with repeat thresholds.
• Collaborate with Bombardier In Service Engineering and the Technical Help Desk to obtain Repair Drawings.
• Provide recommendations to Bombardier ISE and THD if Repair Drawings require amendments.
• Develop and maintain a damage tracking system as a quick reference guide.
• Provide hands-on assistance with structural repairs.
• Coordinate with third party structural repair companies when extra manpower is needed.
• Review Bombardier Service Bulletins and other structural documents and implement as required.
• Participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting hazards and incidents and promoting safety policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
