Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and pre‑cook foods in accordance with standards. You will help maintain quality service and contribute to high-volume production with proper mise en place. The role requires accuracy, speed, and teamwork.

Hours include early morning shifts; compensation starts at $21 per hour. Canadian work experience is not required, and details about our total rewards will be shared during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience, including restaurant or prep cook roles.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and cook food products as directed.
• Demonstrate speed and efficiency in daily tasks.
• Set up mise en place and other products for high-volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment according to health and safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverages.
