Job summary

Craigleith Ski Club is seeking a personable Line/Prep Cook for the winter season at The Depot Lodge and Base Lodge. You will take orders, cook in view of guests, and ensure a polished dining experience in a busy ski-club setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of line or prep cook experience, enjoy interacting with guests, and can multi-task during peak periods. Competitive hourly wage with shared gratuities and staff meals are provided.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of line or prep cook experience in open-concept kitchen is preferred.
• Excellent customer service demeanor and ability to interact with guests.
• Reliable, tidy, and professional appearance.
• Able to multi-task in a high-volume setting.
• Availability on weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to spec in a timely manner
• Greet and interact with members and guests in a warm, respectful way
• Take food orders directly at the line and communicate clearly with patrons
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and club standards
• Assist with prep tasks and kitchen operations as required
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team and support larger F&B events when needed

Position Overview:

We are seeking a personable and professional Line/Prep Cook to join our team for the winter season. This role operates out of The Depot Lodge and Base Lodge, where the open-concept kitchens allows for direct interaction with members and guests. You'll take orders, prepare meals in view of patrons, and ensure a positive, polished dining experience.

What We're Looking For:

• 1-2 years of line or prep cook experience (open-concept kitchen experience is an asset)
• Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor - must be comfortable working in front of guests
• Reliable, tidy, and respectful in appearance and attitude
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively in a high-volume setting
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods such as Christmas/New Year's, Family Day weekend, March Break, and Easter
• Hourly wage plus shared gratuities
• Staff meals provided while on shift

Job Types: Seasonal, Full-Time

Contract length: Approximately 4-5 months

Term: Employment expected to end on or about April 3, 2027 subject to weather and club operations
