Job summary

Craigleith Ski Club in The Blue Mountains, ON is hiring a Cleaner for the winter season. You will clean lodge areas, offices, public spaces and washrooms, performing a physically active role with attention to detail and health and safety standards.

The position is Full-time, Seasonal with day shifts (Wed–Sun), 8 hours per shift. Start date October 2026, end around April 30, 2027. Pay is $20/hour with some weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect lodge areas, offices, public spaces, and restrooms.
• Vacuum, mop floors, dust surfaces, and clean windows.
• Bus tables and reset common areas as needed.
• Empty and dispose of waste and recycling.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Assist with moving furniture as required.
• Follow health & safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.

Position Summary

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of all Club facilities, including public spaces, administrative offices, and washrooms. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, flexibility, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect lodge areas, offices, public spaces, and restrooms
• Vacuum and mop floors, dust surfaces, and clean windows
• Bus tables and reset common areas as needed
• Empty, sort, and dispose of waste and recycling
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
• Assist with lifting and moving tables, chairs, and furniture as required
• Perform all duties in accordance with Club health & safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods and work up and down stairs
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and operational needs
• Previous commercial or facilities cleaning experience is an asset
• Valid driver’s license to drive club vehicles

Schedule & Season

• Day shifts: 5 days per week, Wednesday to Sunday
• 8-hour shifts with flexibility for additional hours as needed
• Weekends and holidays are required
• Contract length: Approximately 6 months
