Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Lifestyle and Programs Supervisor to coordinate daily wellbeing programs across the six dimensions of wellness for residents. You will guide activity aides and volunteers, ensure safe program delivery, and support the Lifestyle and Programs Manager with an engaging events calendar.

You’ll build relationships with residents, address concerns, coordinate volunteers and community partners, and monitor program quality, participation, and safety to drive

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or relevant experience.
• One to three years of experience in retirement living, long-term care, or healthcare.
• Experience coordinating programs and guiding employees or volunteers.
• Understanding of aging and respect for residents’ backgrounds, interests, and abilities.
• Strong planning, communication, service, computer, and community-relations skills.

Lifestyle and Programs Supervisor

At Chartwell, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day delivery of meaningful programs that reflect residents’ interests and the six dimensions of wellness. You’ll work directly with residents while guiding activity aides and volunteers, supporting safe program delivery, and helping the Lifestyle and Programs Manager maintain an engaging calendar.
