Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Licensing Coordinator in Canada’s insurance sector. This role reports to the Director of Licensing and Compliance and provides transactional support for licensing across provinces and territories, ensuring regulator-aligned processes and timely license actions for employees.

Key duties include license reporting, data collection, inquiries handling, and end-to-end licensing life cycle support, including renewals, updates, cancellations, and M&A licensing support.

About The Role

As our Licensing Coordinator, reporting into the Director of Licensing and Compliance, you will help provide support and guidance to our employees ensuring compliance with the regulators and to provide transactional support for licensing in accordance with the governing insurance bodies within our provinces and territories.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide support and administrative technique to Insurance Council Investigations.
  • Employee license reporting, data collection, and processing.
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding licensing.
  • Full transactional support of the licensing life cycle; new hire submissions, current employee renewals, license updates and cancellations.
  • Licensing support for M&A’s.
  • Maintenance of job aids, licensing website and training material.
  • Support compliance research projects.
  • Ensures compliance with the insurance bodies in the Provinces and Territories in which we conduct business.
  • Day-to-day support and collaboration alongside Licensing & Compliance Team.

  • Sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability in problem-solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Licensed candidates are preferred, but this is not a requirement.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $52,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
