Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a permanent Tractor Technician to support maintenance and repairs for our fleet at the South Shop, Rocky View, AB. You will diagnose issues from inspections and prescribe remedial actions to keep operations moving.

The role requires a licensed tractor technician, hands-on tractor experience, ability to mentor apprentices, strong time management, and excellent customer service to drivers. Weekend shift may apply along with a paperless work order system.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician.
• Experience on tractors as Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician.
• Qualified to perform Safeties is mandatory.
• Diagnosing and time-management abilities are required.
• Ability to provide superior customer service to Drivers.
• Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship.
• Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry).
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Hold a valid Driver's License.

Job description

The Tractor Technician is a permanent, full-time position. You will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technician/Mechanics and Tractor Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician
• Experience working on tractors as a Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician
• Previous experience and qualification to perform Safeties are considered mandatory in this position
• Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
• Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
• Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship
• Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry)
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Hold a valid Driver's License.
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less.

• South Shop - 234090 Wrangler Road, Rocky View, AB - Weekend Day shift: This position is subject to Weekend days shift, Friday, Saturday and Sunday shift schedule, hours of work are 06:00-18:30.
