Covenant Health Canada is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Med Surg at St. Joseph's General Hospital in Vegreville, AB. The role requires teamwork, leadership on shifts, and full LPN scope of practice under AUPE Auxiliary Nursing terms.
Regular part-time (0.65 FTE) with shifts of 7.75 hours in a 4-week cycle; part-time status with 13 shifts per cycle and a posted salary range of CAD 33.16–43.42 per hour. The position starts 01-OCT-2026 and ends 21-SEP-2026, with security checks required.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
