Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Sturgeon Community Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for casual/relief shifts in the Surgery unit. You will provide front-line patient care under the direction of the interprofessional team.

Required qualifications include 2+ years of recent surgical experience, active LPN registration with CLHA, and BCLS-HCP. Proficiency with PCA maintenance and IV initiation is an asset.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Active registration and a practice permit as an LPN with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Minimum of 2 years recent surgical experience.
• Proficiency with PCA maintenance and IV initiation is an asset.
