Job summary

Bayshore Medical Personnel seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time contract in Valcartier, QC. The role involves direct patient care under physicians and RNs, with responsibilities including COVID screening and vaccination assistance.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Valcartier, QC! We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services. **$1000 Signing Bonus**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

• COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
• assistance with vaccinations;
• conducting patient history and physical assessments;
• performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; and
• counseling patients on preventive health care.

Qualifications

The LPN shall possess, as a minimum,one (1) full-time equivalent year of experiencewithin the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

All LPNsmust, as a minimum, have:

• Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
• Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and
• Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.

Other Requirements:

• Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
