Bayshore HealthCare Ltd. in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our military health services team.

The role focuses on direct patient care under physicians, with responsibilities including COVID screening and assisting with vaccinations. The successful candidate will hold an approved Practical Nursing Program, a current license, CPR/AED and WHMIS, and will benefit from daytime hours, no evenings or weekends, and a $1000 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• One year full-time equivalent nursing experience in the last 3 years.
• Graduate from a Practical Nursing Program approved by the Council of the College of Nurses.
• Current and valid license from the provincial/territorial college.
• CPR/AED Level C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under physicians, RNs, or other healthcare providers.
• Conduct COVID screening prior to clinic entry.
• Assist with vaccinations.
• Take patient histories and physical assessments; perform selected diagnostic/therapeutic interventions.
• Counsel patients on preventive health care.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC! We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services. **$1000 Signing Bonus**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

• COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
• assistance with vaccinations;
• conducting patient history and physical assessments;
• performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; and
• counseling patients on preventive health care.

Qualifications

The LPN shall possess, as a minimum,one (1) full-time equivalent year of experiencewithin the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

All LPNsmust, as a minimum, have:

• Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
• Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and
• Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.

Other Requirements:

• Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
