Bayshore HealthCare is offering a Full-time opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Comox, BC. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care under medical supervision and assist with various healthcare tasks including patient assessments and vaccinations. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of nursing experience in a primary care setting and relevant certifications. Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved Practical Nursing Program.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a Full-time Contract opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse with one (1) year of experience to join the team in Comox, British Columbia. We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services!

Duties And Responsibilities

The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities Could Include, But Are Not Limited To

• COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
• assistance with vaccinations;
• conducting patient history and physical assessments;
• performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions;
• counseling patients on preventive health care.

Qualifications

The LPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.

Skills And Qualifications

• Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
• Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice;
• Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.

Other Requirements

• Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
