Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with CLHA and current HCA of Alberta.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C is required.
• 2 years of recent acute care medicine/surgery and/or ambulatory IV Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, intervention, and follow-up for ambulatory IV therapies.
• Screen and triage orders, schedule patient visits, and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with clerical staff, RNs, physicians, and other ambulatory clinics.

Job description

The IV Therapy Clinic nurse performs assessment, intervention, and follow up care for ambulatory patients requiring a variety of intravenous therapies, such as, antimicrobial therapy, blood and blood product transfusions, and chronic disease medication infusions. Also responsible for screening and triaging orders, and scheduling patient visits. Works collaboratively with clerical staff, registered nurses, and physicians as well as liaising with other related ambulatory clinics.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care experience in ambulatory applications, scheduling, template building, referral management and documentation.
