Smile Esthetics in Victoria, BC is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our caring team for a full-time, four-day work week (Monday to Thursday). The position offers dental benefits, free parking, product discounts, and extended health care.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists during procedures, take X-rays, maintain infection control, update patient charts, and support scheduling and patient flow while upholding privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Assistant with ortho experience is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $32-$36/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/orCertified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
