Job summary

Passion Dental Group's Academy Dental in Victoria, BC is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join a supportive, patient-centered team. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, with no evenings or weekends, and a wage of $35.00–$40.00 per hour depending on experience.

You will chairside assist, sterilize rooms, educate patients, take X-rays if certified, and help with front desk duties. Certification with BCCOHP is required; experience is preferred but enthusiastic learners are welcome.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP.
• Experience preferred but motivated learners welcome.
• Familiarity with Tracker and MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures with a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
• Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records.
• Support front desk tasks when needed, including scheduling and patient communication.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP

• Experience with Tracker and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is considered an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team
