Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking skilled truck and trailer mechanics for evening shifts. You’ll perform maintenance, repairs, and annual inspections, using electronic work orders and safety standards to keep our fleet on the road.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Red Seal certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Red Seal certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.

• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
