Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a qualified truck/trailer mechanic to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on safe, efficient vehicle upkeep and timely repairs, with opportunities for professional growth and apprenticeship support.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification as a truck/trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (asset).
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with computers.
• Professionalism and teamwork are essential.
• Experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers or welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in accordance with safety standards.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual inspections.
• Stay updated with work-related training and development.
