Qualifications

Overview

Summary:
The Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) will provide injury prevention and recovery services for fighter aircrew. The Contractor shall evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of an injury prevention and post-exertion recovery program. Healthy lifestyle education will be addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance, soft tissue recovery, and overall quality of life for fighter aircrew.

Responsibilities

• Complete all in-processing requirements and participate in job-specific training activities, including simulations and hands-on training.
• Evaluate and provide massage therapy for all assigned fighter aircrew. Follow-up appointments will be based on need, injury prevention plans, and coordination with the members’ military and healthcare team at the request of the fighter aircrew and unit commander.
• Develop an individualized program (IP) for each member served, focusing on increasing neck and back conditioning and overall health to minimize injury risk and severity.
• Provide ongoing massage therapy, optimizing scheduling to maximize benefits and meet the needs of the fighter aircrew, focusing on neck and back soft tissue health and recovery.
• Advise unit commanders on injury prevention and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage administrative matters, including supplies, equipment, and fiscal requests related to interventions and services.
• Conduct reviews of equipment, products, and literature to ensure continuous improvement of the injury prevention program.
• Document assessments, encounters, and contacts within 72 hours, and support other government entities as required.
• Attend weekly staff meetings to review and improve human performance programs.
• Prepare and submit data for the Human Performance Measures of Effectiveness Report (HP-MER).

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of ethics and business practices for massage therapists.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy certification program.
• At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Massage Therapist in a medical, athletic, aerospace, or similar high-performance environment.
• Current and unrestricted license or certification from a US jurisdiction.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Favorable Tier 3 (T3) security investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional advanced certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range is $53,506 to $62,215 annually. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
