Job summary

Rutland Dental Centre in Kelowna is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a modern, well-equipped practice. You’ll support dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms and instruments, take X-rays, and maintain patient comfort and safety.

The role offers a 4-day workweek (7:45am-5:15pm) with a competitive hourly wage between $32 and $37 and a comprehensive benefits package. You will work with a supportive team using digital charting, 3D imaging, and cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• 3+ Years of previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $32-$37/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
