Job summary

Ainslie Street Dental in Cambridge is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join a modern, collaborative team focused on comfort, efficiency and clinical excellence. You will provide chairside support with a patient-centered approach.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, and uphold IPAC standards while updating charts and educating patients. This full-time replacement role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $20-$33/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
