Job summary

Limoges Dental Centre in Canada is seeking a Dental Assistant for a maternity leave contract. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and maintain infection control to support patient care.

The ideal candidate is registered and/or certified with a provincial body, holds NDAEB certification, and has experience with Abeldent. Bilingual English and French is preferred to serve a diverse patient base.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduling and patient flow.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with ordering and inventory control.

Schedule:

Maternity Leave Contract

Monday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Wednesday:11:00am - 7:00pm

Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is$31-$36/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow

• Support the orthodontic program (training provided)

• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required

• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards

• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks

• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care

• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines

• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

• Assist with ordering and inventory control as needed

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required

• NDAEB certification is required

• Experience with Abeldent is preferred

• Bilingual English and French is preferred

• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
