Job summary

Quesnel Dental Group on Front Street in Quesnel, BC, seeks a Dental Assistant to join a busy, patient‑focused team led by Dr. Mirko Pellizarri. You will prepare rooms, assist clinicians, take X‑rays, and uphold IPAC standards while building strong patient relationships.

The clinic is undergoing a renovation to create a modern, technology‑driven space. We offer flexible full‑/part‑time options with no evenings or weekends and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Registered and licensed dental assistant required.
• New graduates welcome; experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, ensuring patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Maintain infection control and sterilization processes.
• Update patient charts and provide oral hygiene education.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $32-$38/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience considered an asset, new graduates welcome!
