Job summary

Oceanfront Dentistry in Downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. The position offers extended health benefits and a comprehensive rewards package, with a focus on patient care and professional development.

Responsibilities include room setup, assisting dentists, taking X-rays, sterilization, patient education, and supporting clinic operations. The successful candidate will be registered or certified and have prior dental assisting experience.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$30-$36/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
