Job summary

Driftwood Dental in the Comox Valley is seeking a Dental Assistant to prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and take X-rays as required, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow in a clean, safe environment.

You must be registered/certified with your provincial regulatory body; prior dental assisting experience is preferred. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:45 am–4:15 pm) with competitive pay, uniform allowance, CE reimbursement and extended health benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial body.
• Experience in dental assisting is preferred.
• Ability to take X-rays and assist during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and manage patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and educate on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
