Job summary

Cedar Dental Centre in Kamloops, BC, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays and maintain a clean, safe environment according to IPAC standards.

Registered and/or certified with the provincial regulatory body is required; previous dental assisting experience is preferred. We offer competitive pay, RRSP matching, and a comprehensive total-rewards package in a flexible, patient‑centered practice.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified dental assistant with provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians with efficiency and care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and support scheduling and admin tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care.
