Job summary

Apex Dental in Fort St. John welcomes a registered or certified Dental Assistant to join our busy practice serving the local community for 13+ years. You will work in a modern, digitally equipped office during Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with no evenings or weekends.

Wage ranges from $24 to $25 per hour depending on experience and location. Join a team focused on patient care, professional development, and practice growth, with opportunities for skill expansion and ongoing CE.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

About You

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
