Job summary

Fountain Tire Roper Road in Edmonton is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles. Competitive hourly wages and bonuses, plus benefits, retirement plan, and growth opportunities.

You will perform oil changes, tune-ups, and scheduled maintenance, communicate with customers about work, and uphold safety and quality standards.

This on-site role requires a third-year apprenticeship or licensed technician and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed technicians preferred; must be at least a registered 3rd year Apprentice.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers.
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology.
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
