Job summary

Volkswagen Villa, part of the AWIN Group of Dealerships, is seeking a Licensed Automotive Technician to join a prestige automotive group in the Greater Toronto Area. The role involves inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles across multiple fuel types, diagnosing complex problems, test driving, and ensuring work is performed correctly the first time.

The successful candidate will work with a team, participate in training, and contribute to high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
• Clear Driver’s Abstract.
• Technicians License.
• Ontario College of Trades membership.
• Four years of direct work experience in automotive repairs and service.
• Extensive knowledge of different vehicles and their service needs.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently or as a team, managing his or her time and work flow.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair vehicles following manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose problems and plan repairs to avoid comebacks.
• Test and road-test recently serviced vehicles.
• Operate electronic diagnostic equipment and rely on diagnostic data.
• Supervise apprentices as requested.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
