Job summary

VinFast Canada is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of automotive systems, including EV components, in a fast-paced environment. You will work from our Langley service facility, perform tasks per work orders, and collaborate with Service staff to meet timelines.

The role requires 4+ years of automotive experience, Red Seal certification, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend hours may be needed to support retail operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Provincial Red Seal Certification (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components; EV experience a plus.
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and wiring diagrams.
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive service, mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Process work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with Service staff to align timelines and expectations.
• Source and return parts from the parts department.
• Escalate difficult repairs to Lead Technician for prompt solutions.
• Follow VinFast policies and safety regulations.
• Pursue ongoing knowledge through VinFast training and courses.
• Discuss issues with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Keep the shop clean and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.
