Job summary

Jim Pattison Volkswagen Surrey is seeking an EV Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair electric vehicles, upholding quality and safety standards. The role emphasizes diagnostic expertise, high-voltage safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop in Surrey, BC.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification is required or in the process of challenging it.
• Previous experience as an automotive technician is required.
• A valid BC Driver’s license with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required.
• Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles per manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections with accurate documentation.
• Identify issues and communicate findings to Service team.
• Safely de-energize and re-energize high-voltage systems using PPE.
• Coordinate with Parts to source parts and manage warranty labeling.
• Assist other technicians to maintain shop productivity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
