Job summary

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is seeking a permanent part-time Library Page for the Chatham-Kent Public Library. The Page will re-shelve materials, handle book drops, and assist with program setup while ensuring a safe, welcoming library environment.

Applicants must be at least 14 years old and able to complete health and safety training online before starting. Strong computer skills are required for daily tasks and communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 14 years or older.
• Health & Safety and other mandatory training completed by first day.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Shelving and shelf-reading of library materials.
• Emptying book drop boxes.
• Maintain periodical collections.
• General clean up duties inside and outside the library.
• Assist with program setup and preparation.
• Participate in municipal and library training.
• Promote a welcoming and inviting library environment.
• Support residents to library resources and services.
• Other duties as assigned on an occasional basis.
