Job summary

Brock University seeks a Library Assistant, Resource Sharing & Reference to join the Library Services team. This role processes borrowing and lending requests, assists with circulation and basic tech tasks, and delivers reference help to students and staff at the Ask Us Desk.

The position supports remote reference and in-person inquiries, contributing to a welcoming campus library environment and ensuring accurate patron records and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with Interlibrary Loan (ILL) systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Library of Congress, Music, and Government Documents classifications.

Responsibilities

• Process borrowing and lending requests using the ILS system.
• Assist users at the Ask Us Desk with circulation, copying, printing, and reference tasks.
• Provide in-depth research assistance in person and remotely via OCUL chat and email.
