Job summary

City Of Edmonton's Edmonton Public Library seeks a Library Assistant at Idylwylde Branch for a temporary term through Sep 25, 2027. You will deliver friendly, efficient customer service in a fast-paced environment and help patrons access print and digital resources.

Responsibilities include assisting with programs for children and adults, guiding users in technology, and promoting library services. A library/education diploma or degree is required, plus relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in a library or customer-service focused environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs and web-based services.
• Experience in reference services and readers' advisory is preferred.
• Experience developing and presenting programs for customers of all ages; emphasis on programming for young children is preferred.
