Responsibilities

1. Work as a Third-Party Administrator directing field adjusters in the investigation, analysis, and oversight of nationwide liability claims.
2. Opportunity to expand into other lines such as first-party property and inland marine claims; experience in these is a plus but not required.
3. Communicate promptly with Lloyd’s of London brokers, underwriting, and claims personnel of other carriers to provide excellent customer service.
4. Engage with insureds, claimants, agents, adjusters, and attorneys to strategize and achieve the best outcomes.
5. Review insurance policies and prepare reservation of rights or declination letters as needed.
6. Maintain organized, effective communication and demonstrate analytical, writing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
7. Prepare expense and reserve/settlement reports exceeding authority for submission to insurers and Lloyd’s Managing Agents.

Qualifications

1. Post-secondary education.
2. At least 5 years of liability claims experience; experience in other lines is an asset but not required.
3. Ability to interpret and apply policy terms.
4. Insurance designations and ongoing education preferred.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Ability to handle a full caseload in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong organizational skills and diary management.
8. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn new IT systems.
