Responsibilities
- Work as a Third-Party Administrator directing field adjusters in the investigation, analysis, and oversight of nationwide liability claims.
- Opportunity to expand into other lines such as first-party property and inland marine claims; experience in these is a plus but not required.
- Communicate promptly with Lloyd’s of London brokers, underwriting, and claims personnel of other carriers to provide excellent customer service.
- Engage with insureds, claimants, agents, adjusters, and attorneys to strategize and achieve the best outcomes.
- Review insurance policies and prepare reservation of rights or declination letters as needed.
- Maintain organized, effective communication and demonstrate analytical, writing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Prepare expense and reserve/settlement reports exceeding authority for submission to insurers and Lloyd’s Managing Agents.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education.
- At least 5 years of liability claims experience; experience in other lines is an asset but not required.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy terms.
- Insurance designations and ongoing education preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle a full caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and diary management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn new IT systems.
