Job summary

Dawson Dental Cambridge is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our patient-centred team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and ensure infection control, patient comfort, and workflow.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

• Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
• 2 x Saturdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$25.00 - $28.00/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
