Dawson Dental Barrie in Barrie, Ontario is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists with patient care, imaging, and room setup. You’ll operate with IPAC standards, update charts, and help manage scheduling and workflow in a patient‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
