Job summary

Dawson Dental Hanover is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our Hanover practice. This full-time role supports dentists and hygienists, prepares treatment rooms, and helps manage patient flow with a focus on comfort and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial body and has prior dental assisting experience. We offer a supportive team, modern tools, and opportunities for professional growth in Canada.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with the Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $24.00 - $30.00/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a replacement job opening.
