The ideal candidate has 3–5 years post-qualification experience in mining or environmental law, with strong drafting and analytical skills and the ability to manage compliance in a demanding sector.

Qualifications

• Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of post‑qualification legal experience, preferably with exposure to mining law, natural resources law, or environmental law.
• Sound knowledge of South African mining legislation and regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with environmental law and permitting processes.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-management and organization.
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and operational teams.
• Must be available to attend the office in Kimberley as required.
