Client Profile

Our client, a leading Toronto law firm, is currently looking for a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk – Land Development. This firm has an excellent culture and offers many career development opportunities.

  • Law firm specializing in Land Development and Civil Litigation.
  • Recognized in Novae Res Urbis Top Ten Development Law Firms.
  • Office conveniently located in Downtown Toronto!
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support two lawyers with their established and busy practice;
  • Prepare, draft, and transcribe correspondence and legal documents;
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate appointments as required;
  • Prepare public notices with lawyer oversight;
  • Conduct legal research;
  • Manage daily correspondence, document preparation, drafting, and filing court documents;
  • Perform photocopying and scanning tasks;
  • Manage and update calendars;
  • Prepare and manage physical and electronic files; and
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • At least 2 years of law office experience preferred;
  • Municipal law and Litigation experience is a definite asset;
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel;
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
