Job summary

The University of Toronto is seeking a Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term for FSTC24H3 - Gender in the Kitchen at UTSC. You will design and deliver a university credit course, prepare assignments, administer marks, and hold regular office hours.

PhD in Food Studies with teaching publications preferred; previous teaching experience is prioritized. Lectures are on Tuesdays 11 am–1 pm; session dates January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027; salary rates per CUPE collective agreement.

Qualifications

• PhD in Food Studies related field with teaching experience and publications in the intersection between gender and food studies.
• Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.

Responsibilities

• All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours.
