Killam Apartment REIT is seeking a proactive Leasing Representative for our Mississauga, ON location. This full-time role involves managing leasing communications, showing suites, and closing leases.

The base salary ranges from $45,000 to $52,000 CAD annually, with leasing commissions and a supportive training program to help you thrive. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in leasing or real estate.
• 1–2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service.
• A bachelor’s degree is considered an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Previous experience posting ads on Kijiji; familiarity with Yardi is an asset.
• Must be flexible and able to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Field all leasing communication by phone, email and in person.
• Perform showings of suites and tours of properties.
• Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale.
• Assist with administrative duties.
• Process applications and lease signings.
• Perform bi-weekly market surveys.

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.5 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are looking for an energetic and results oriented Leasing Representative to join our team in Mississauga on a full-time basis. We offer a competitive salary plus commission structure (consisting of a base salary in the range of $45,000-$52,000 annually, plus leasing commissions) and training and support to help you launch your career with Killam.

• Field all leasing communication by phone, email and in person;
