Responsibilities
- Prepare, negotiate, and consummate Lease Proposals, Offers to Lease, and Leases in collaboration with and under the direction of the VP of Leasing.
- Monitor all existing tenancies and expirations; negotiate and complete extension agreements as directed.
- Conduct cold calling (canvassing prospective tenants) and prepare Travel Logs.
- Oversee various projects, ensuring timely completion and reporting progress daily.
- Maintain and develop rapport with designated tenant accounts.
- Thoroughly understand markets, projects, and sites; including site visits, market visits, and coordinating updates with analysts.
- Service national and/or regional accounts assigned.
- Manage projects for assigned properties, including site visits and providing input.
- Keep stakeholders informed about tenant or project issues and maintain leasing activity database.
- Provide input and strategies on new sites and vacancies, monitoring leasing feasibility and execution.
- Coordinate with construction to ensure lease work satisfaction and timing requirements.
- Coordinate with property management to ensure sites are in good condition and strategize improvements.
- Monitor arrears and assist in collections where possible.
- Maintain monthly reports on vacancy and renewal statuses for senior management.
Academic/Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Geography, Business, or related fields; Professional Designation preferred.
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum 5 years practical experience in retail real estate leasing/development with tenant contacts and achievements.
- At least 3 years leasing directly for a landlord.
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
- Owns a personal vehicle and has a valid driver’s license.
